Chopin International Music Festival

The Chopin International Music Festival, held in Warsaw, included a notable solo concert by Azerbaijani Honored Artist and pianist Nargiz Aliyarova on September 17, 2026. This performance took place at the Auditorium Maximum of the University of Warsaw and was well-received by the Polish audience.

The concert program skillfully blended celebrated piano masterpieces by Frédéric Chopin with compositions from renowned Azerbaijani composers such as Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Gara Garayev, Fikrat Amirov, Firanghiz Alizade, and Faig Sujaddinov. This artistic presentation aimed to create a cultural dialogue, showcasing the rich musical heritage of both Azerbaijan and Poland. A composition dedicated to the martyrs of the Second Karabakh War was also performed, drawing particular attention.

The event was attended by various distinguished guests, including representatives from Poland’s cultural and academic circles, faculty and students from the University of Warsaw, and members of the Azerbaijani diaspora. Among the attendees introduced by the organizers were Fuad Isgandarov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Poland, and staff from the Azerbaijani Embassy. The concert successfully promoted mutual understanding and appreciation of each nation's music and cultural values.
