'Rural Dhofar 2026' exhibition

The 'Rural Dhofar 2026' exhibition is a six-day event scheduled from August 10 to 15, 2026, at Ittin Square in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, Oman. Organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dhofar, in collaboration with the Office of the Governor of Dhofar and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, this exhibition is a key part of the annual Khareef Dhofar Season activities. Its primary goals are to support rural women, empower them economically, and strengthen the market presence of Omani products.

The exhibition functions as a vital marketing platform, featuring more than 60 participants, including female entrepreneurs and productive families from various governorates across the Sultanate of Oman. Attendees can explore a diverse array of Omani rural products, such as agricultural produce, fisheries products, various food items, honey, date-based products, and cosmetics crafted from natural materials, all reflecting the quality and diversity of local heritage.

Beyond product display, the event aims to create direct marketing opportunities, boost the income of productive families, and support small and medium-sized enterprises. A series of specialized workshops are also held, focusing on topics like product quality, added value, sustainable production techniques, the 'Rural Product' financing program, and women's contributions to food security. This initiative not only provides a platform for commerce but also highlights the essential role of rural women in achieving national food security and sustainable economic development.
