WSL Week

WSL Week is a vibrant cultural and community event taking place in Raglan, Waikato, from May 14 to May 25. This event coincides with the official waiting period of the Corona Cero New Zealand Pro Presented by Bonsoy surfing competition at Manu Bay, which runs from May 15–25, with competition days dependent on surf conditions. The week begins with a pōwhiri welcoming athletes and visitors to Whāingaroa, followed by an athlete training session on May 14. The official WSL Opening Party at The Yard will launch the festivities on Friday, May 15.

Throughout the week, attendees can enjoy a packed lineup of activities including live music performances at the Harbour View Hotel, featuring artists such as Regurgitator (performing May 14), Head Like A Hole, Sonomass and Critter & Crew, Mojo Masters, and Tony Painting And The Power. Surf enthusiasts can look forward to various surf film premieres at The Yard, including the New Zealand premiere of 'Sketchy' on Monday, May 18, and the Volcom world movie premiere followed by a Goons of Doom live show on Tuesday, May 19.

Fans will have opportunities to meet athletes through team signings at Raglan Surf Emporium (Vissla, Rip Curl, Volcom teams) and Raglan Surf Co, which will host a Billabong Team Signing, Movie Screening, and Community Engagement Night on Sunday, May 17. Additionally, art and history exhibitions will be available: the Surfalicious Exhibition runs daily from May 15–24 at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre, and the Raglan & District Museum hosts a local surfing history exhibition highlighting the area's rich connection to surfing culture.
