The Dunedin Horticultural Society’s spring show, held on September 20-21, 2026, showcased a vibrant array of floral displays. Celebrating its 175th anniversary, the event garnered nearly 900 entries, making it the largest show since 2018, attracting participants from Canterbury to Southland. While daffodils were a dominant feature, a variety of other spring blooms were also on display.

Highlights of the show included the prestigious Champion of Champions daffodil award, which was won by Shelley Hollever of North Otago for her entry "Clandellow", a pure yellow, large-cupped variety bred in New Zealand. This marked her second consecutive win for the award. The event also featured floral art and other competitive sections, drawing appreciation from attendees of all ages. As the Dunedin Horticultural Society (DHS) is the oldest active horticultural group of its kind in New Zealand, the anniversary show was a special occasion.
