Electric Avenue

Recognized as a significant event in the Australasian music calendar, Electric Avenue 2027 brings together a diverse range of international and local performers across rock, electronic, indie, and drum and bass. The festival features several New Zealand-exclusive appearances, including a headline set by electronic artist Calvin Harris and performances by Jungle, Underworld, Tove Lo, and Kehlani. For the rock and alternative audience, the lineup includes Kings of Leon, making their first Christchurch appearance in 19 years, alongside Kasabian and Lime Cordiale.

The local New Zealand music scene is heavily represented with acts such as Fat Freddy’s Drop, Ladyhawke, SACHI, and the return of iconic band Th’ Dudes. The electronic program spans generations, featuring house music pioneer Kenny Dope and influential British duo Underworld. Drum and bass fans are catered to with sets from Hybrid Minds, Wilkinson, and K Motionz.

Hosted in the central city's Hagley Park, the festival demonstrates high demand, with an initial release of 32,000 tickets selling out before the lineup was officially announced. The 2027 event continues the festival's tradition of mixing established global stadium acts with rising contemporary artists to appeal to a broad demographic.
