Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival

The Ikorodu-Oga Fanti Carnival aims to showcase the community's history, culture, and identity, offering a culturally rich experience for residents, visitors, participants, and the Ikorodu diaspora. With the official adoption by the Ikorodu Local Government under Executive Chairman Hon. Prince Abdullateef Adedayo Ladega, the carnival is set for enhanced support, including annual funding, to elevate its profile and achieve international appeal.

Organizers are working to position the carnival as a significant tourism and entertainment attraction in Ikorodu. The local government chairman has begun engaging with notable Nigerian music artistes, such as Slimcase, for the 2026 edition. The carnival's leadership includes Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, as Statutory Royal Host, the Executive Chairman of IKODASS as Host, and Chairman Ladega as Chief Host.

The event also invites corporate partnerships, offering companies and brands opportunities to support the three participating quarters: Aga Parapo, Ijomu Parapo, and Isele Alaro United. Each quarter maintains its distinctive colors, allowing for sponsor visibility through branding and on-ground activations. This collaboration among local government, traditional rulers, community associations, and corporate stakeholders is intended to integrate culture, entertainment, tourism, and business for the November celebration.
