Jelajah Halal Malaysia Sabah 2026

The Jelajah Halal Malaysia Sabah 2026 initiative was a collaborative effort between the Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC), the Sabah state government, and various strategic partners. Held in Kota Kinabalu, the two-day event attracted over 500 participants, including micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners, industry professionals, and government representatives. The program focused on strengthening the local halal ecosystem and providing Sabah-based businesses with the resources to meet domestic and international standards.

During the event, officials emphasized that halal certification serves as a vital tool for accessing wider international markets, including non-Muslim majority countries like Japan, South Korea, and China. Discussions highlighted how the halal concept extends beyond food to encompass lifestyle and tourism, particularly through Muslim-friendly services in Sabah's island destinations. Participants received guidance on enhancing product value through stringent hygiene controls and were encouraged to participate in global trade expos with support from agencies such as MATRADE.
