Monaco International Book Fair

The Monaco International Book Fair, also known as the Salon International du Livre de Monaco, is a significant literary and cultural event hosted in Monaco. Organized by the association Les Rencontres Littéraires Fabian Boisson and operating under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II, the fair aims to connect diverse forms of writing, from novels to essays, and explore the links between modern ideas and historical contexts. It gathers authors, academics, and researchers from various disciplines.

The 15th edition of the fair will take place at the Grimaldi Forum on September 5 and 6. This free, two-day event is expected to feature a substantial number of authors, with estimates ranging from over 120 to around 170 participants. Visitors can engage in a rich program that includes more than 20 conferences, small-group debates, book signings, and public sessions designed for direct interaction with authors.

Highlights of this edition include the introduction of the inaugural Sports Book Prize, live transmissions from a Himalayan expedition, and a special tribute to the late author and art dealer Sylvana Lorenz, a frequent guest at previous fairs. The lineup of notable guests often features prominent figures such as physicist Étienne Klein and former diplomat Hubert Védrine, with political scientist Gilles Kepel serving as the patron for this edition. The event also showcases art displays.
