Organized by the Association of Poles in Lithuania, this festival is a significant gathering that honors Polish cultural traditions through music and choreography. Originally established in 1989, the event is now named after Jan Gabriel Mincewicz, the longtime chairman and festival founder. After a period of irregular occurrences, the festival returns to Vilnius with a large-scale program involving numerous regional partners.

The festivities begin with a Polish-language Mass at the Vilnius Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Ladislaus. Following the service, a ceremonial procession of performers travels to the Three Crosses Hill arena in Kalnų Park. This location serves as the main stage for the official opening and the subsequent ensemble performances.

More than 50 Polish ensembles participate in the event, representing various regions including the Vilnius, Šalčininkai, Trakai, Širvintos, and Švenčionys districts. The artistic direction of the festival is managed by chief choirmaster Wioleta Leonowicz and chief choreographer Bożena Daniele.
