Seoul International Writers' Festival

The Seoul International Writers' Festival is an annual literary event hosted by the Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea), gathering writers from both Korea and international communities. Taking place from September 11 to 16, 2026, at the Ara Art Center in central Seoul, the festival provides a platform for dialogue and reflection.

Under the theme "Who Are We," the 2026 festival will specifically address the evolving relationship between human values, literature, and the rise of artificial intelligence technology. The program is expected to feature approximately 20 events, including talks involving authors, graphic novel artists, translators, and readers. These sessions will be conducted through both online and in-person formats, accommodating a diverse audience and participation.

The festival will host 24 renowned writers. Notable participants include Korean writer Kim Ae-ran and Chilean novelist Benjamin Labatut, who are set to headline the opening session titled "We Are Someone." Other attending writers include Lee Seung-u, Moon Ji-hyuck, and Yeh So-yeon from Korea, along with Taiwanese novelist Chen Xue, Canadian poet Emily Jungmin Yoon, and Japanese novelist Keiichiro Hirano.
