Tourism EXPO Japan 2026 took place at Tokyo Big Sight, running from Thursday, September 24, to Sunday, September 27, 2026. This international travel exhibition served as a platform for various destinations and tourism-related businesses to showcase their offerings. The event attracted a substantial audience, with roughly 130,000 visitors attending.

A key participant was the Seoul Tourism Organization, which operated a "Visit Seoul" pavilion under the theme "Day and Night in Seoul for All Ages." This initiative specifically highlighted Seoul's "after-dark tourism appeal," emphasizing the city's reputation as a safe, 24-hour urban playground with late-night safety, efficient transit, and diverse evening entertainment. Nine Korean tourism enterprises, including luxury hotels, duty-free retailers, performing arts shows, and yacht operators, joined the pavilion to promote their services.

The expo facilitated business-to-business (B2B) sessions on Thursday and Friday, resulting in over 140 one-on-one meetings between Korean representatives and Japanese travel agencies and trade buyers. Over the weekend, the public booth attracted approximately 3,200 visitors who engaged in interactive activities, cultural showcases, and learned about Seoul's all-in-one transit and attraction pass. The pavilion's design incorporated morning yellow and deep purple accents, the latter celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Discover Seoul Pass.
