Annual Legion Concert

The Annual Legion Concert is a prominent charitable and cultural event in Montego Bay, jointly organized by the Jamaica Legion, the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), and the Montego Bay Branch of the JDF Ex-Soldiers Association. Hosted at the Half Moon Conference Centre, the concert aims to raise critical funds for veterans, with a specific focus this year on assisting those affected by Hurricane Melissa and supporting the Curphey Home in South Manchester.

The musical program is headlined by the Jamaica Regiment Band, offering a family-friendly atmosphere that typically draws a large audience from the St James community. Performances include guest artist Everton Pessoa and unannounced surprise acts. Beyond the music, the event provides essential resources for medical needs and basic necessities for former servicemen and women who are no longer able to support themselves financially.

Additionally, the concert serves as the ceremonial launch for the Annual National Poppy Appeal Drive. Held under the patronage of the Custos of St James, Bishop Conrad H. Pitkin, the event unites military representatives and the wider community in a shared effort to honor and care for Jamaica's veteran population.
