Tarun Tahiliani's unique showcase at India Couture Week 2026 took place on July 26 at Bikaner House in New Delhi. The veteran fashion designer opted for an exhibition format over a conventional runway show, guiding guests through nine distinct halls where mannequins displayed his latest couture collection.

The showcase was designed to allow attendees to engage more intimately with the garments, highlighting the craftsmanship and intricate details of Indian bridal couture. The collection featured regal ensembles for the modern bride, including structured corsets, Tahiliani's signature draped silhouettes, and voluminous lehengas adorned with elaborate embroidery, embellishments, and jewels. The exhibition also offered a glimpse into his evolving menswear designs and celebrated regional textile traditions like ajrakh, kashidakari, and chikankari.

Tahiliani explained that the shift in presentation was motivated by a desire for audiences to truly appreciate the depth of detail in his work, which he felt was often lost in the rapid pace and camera-focused lighting of traditional runway shows. The event concluded with a brief capsule showcase featuring models in a mix of traditional, Western, and fusion silhouettes.
