The 'For the Love of Gort' exhibition, hosted by Gort Arts, delves into themes of memory, imagination, nature, belonging, and change within Gort. The event launches with an official opening by shopkeeper Colman Keane, who will share stories from his experiences in Gort. A notable feature is the interactive 'Lovin’ Gort' installation, where artists draw portraits of visitors who share what they love about Gort, with on-the-spot poems created by a typist. Gort Arts also introduces its first series of Gort Greeting Cards for purchase. On Saturday, September 26, local art historian Robert Kilroy will engage in a public conversation with three artists and makers.
