The Full Moon Rising Festival takes place on Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12, transforming Kilmeedy village in West Limerick. This 100% volunteer-led event is held in the unique surroundings of Séanie’s old farmyard, aiming to blend the atmosphere of a traditional village gathering with the production of a major live music event.

The festivities begin on Friday evening at 6 pm with a dedicated Kids Night. This segment features outdoor games, a UV Disco, treats, and the "School of Rock," which provides local young bands and emerging musicians a chance to perform on the main stage.

Saturday evening hosts the main music and food event, which is reportedly sold out. Gates open at 5:30 pm, showcasing ten live acts across three stages. Attendees can also enjoy local food stalls, draught bars, and a dedicated cocktail bar. Headline performers for the festival include renowned Irish singer-songwriter Paddy Casey and DJ Mark McCabe. Festivalgoers are encouraged to dress according to this year's "Myths & Legends" theme, with prizes awarded for the best costumes throughout Saturday night.

All proceeds generated from the festival are reinvested directly into the Kilmeedy Community Development Fund to support local infrastructure and social projects within the community.
