Cork All-Ireland Camogie Homecoming

The Cork All-Ireland Camogie Homecoming is a public celebration held on the Grand Parade in Cork city centre to honor the county’s senior camogie team. Following a narrow victory over Galway in the national final, thousands of supporters dressed in red and white gathered to welcome the squad home. The event marked the team securing their 31st senior title, a significant milestone for the sport in the county.

Festivities began in the late afternoon, with the official team bus arriving at 6:45 PM to the sound of music and cheering from the crowd. The ceremony featured formal speeches from high-ranking officials, including the Taoiseach and the Lord Mayor of Cork, who praised the players' determination and skill. Captain Maeve Cahalane led the squad on stage, where she made a point of personally introducing every member of the 36-strong panel to the assembled public.
