Fundraising night in celebration of Mossie Connery

This special fundraising event, taking place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Cyprus Avenue in Cork, is dedicated to celebrating the memory of Mossie Connery. A highly valued sound engineer in the Cork and Irish live music scene, Connery passed away in 2023, prompting an outpouring of tributes from the community. The night will feature a concert to honor his legacy and raise crucial funds for Cork Stroke Support.

Co-organized by Conor O’Brien, Graham Keane, and Connery’s partner, Suzanne Higgins, the event will showcase a vibrant lineup of nearly 40 musicians. Many of these artists collaborated with Connery throughout his career. Performers include The Service, notably the last band Connery worked with, along with Conor O’Brien, Joe O’Callaghan of Hot Guitars, Hank Wedel, Audrey Lynch, Martin Finn, and Gerrie O’Grady, who also serves on the board of Cork Stroke Support. Musicians from Connery's East Cork roots, such as The Hollyz, Dots & The Dude, and Jamie Stanton, are also expected to participate, highlighting his influence as a mentor and friend.
