Cork Outdoors Week

Cork Outdoors Week is an inaugural nine-day event taking place across West Cork, Ireland, from August 15th to 23rd, 2026. It aims to celebrate the people, places, and organizations that establish Cork as a premier destination for outdoor pursuits. The week-long program is designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to engage with nature, try new activities, and discover the region's spectacular coastlines, waterways, trails, and open spaces.

The event officially commences with the Inchydoney Beachfest on August 15th, set against the scenic backdrop of Inchydoney Beach near Clonakilty. Beachfest offers a full day of activities such as surfing, beach volleyball, lacrosse, yoga, beach tag rugby, orienteering, Pilates, mindfulness walks, and family-friendly games.

Throughout the week, communities across West Cork will host a diverse range of outdoor experiences. These include sea safari kayaking in Tragumna, evening cycles and saunas in Ballinspittle and Clonakilty, and sailing, rowing, or guided hill walks in Bantry. Participants can also enjoy paddleboarding and swimming in Coachford, fishing in Cobh, wakeboarding and axe throwing in Mallow, and a splash and dash in Fermoy.
