World Tourism Day Celebrations

Ghana officially marks World Tourism Day with a week-long celebration, typically running from September 26 to October 3. While the global World Tourism Day is observed on September 27, Ghana's activities extend to encompass a broader program. These celebrations are held in Koforidua, Eastern Region, and are fused with the Eastern Expo.

The event brings together stakeholders from the Tourism, Culture, Creative Arts, and investment sectors to deliberate on themes such as "Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism." The program includes various activities like a health walk on September 26, followed by a sensitisation workshop and seminars on September 27, coinciding with World Tourism Day.

Discussions during the celebrations often examine how digital technology and AI can create opportunities, improve efficiency, and enhance visitor experiences in the tourism sector.
