Oban Games 2026

The Oban Games 2026, presented by The Argyllshire Gathering Trust, invites spectators and competitors to Mossfield Stadium in Oban, Scotland, for a day steeped in tradition, athleticism, and Scottish pride. Taking place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, the event promises a vibrant showcase of Highland dancing and solo piping, drawing talent and audiences from around the world.

Attendees can witness athletes compete in various track, light, and heavy field events, demonstrating speed, strength, stamina, and agility. Highlights include the Competing Pipers March, led by the previous day's Highland Society of London Gold Medal winner, the challenging Hill Race, and the popular Tug of War, where crowd participation is encouraged. The Oban High School Pipe Band will also perform, beginning with a march from Station Square.
