The Cardigan River & Food Festival is a long-standing annual event that highlights the quality and diversity of food and drink producers from Cardigan and across Wales. Founded by Menter Aberteifi, a non-profit organization dedicated to regenerating the local area, the festival has grown significantly from its humble beginnings with a few stalls on Prince Charles Quay. It now attracts over 6,000 visitors annually.

The festival is currently held in the centrally located Quay St car park. Key attractions include a large Food Court marquee adjacent to the river, offering street food stalls, cocktail bars, and seating for up to 120 people. This main hub features a fully equipped stage hosting a varied program of musicians, performers, food talks, and demonstrations throughout the day.

Additionally, the festival hosts an upper-level Food Market, primarily selling Welsh-produced food and drink, and a dedicated craft area. A range of presentations and participatory workshops are offered for both adults and children, focusing on sustainability, nutrition, and local produce. The event is recognized by many traders as a welcoming highlight of their festival year.
