Les Journées de l’Art-Bre

Les Journées de l’Art-Bre is a free, open-air contemporary art exhibition that transforms the olive grove of the Parc du Cap Martin into a gallery. Held each September, the event showcases sculptures and other artworks scattered among the trees, with its name being a play on the French word for "tree," "arbre."

For its 15th edition, inaugurated on September 17th, the event paid tribute to French writer, art theorist, and statesman André Malraux, marking the 50th anniversary of his death. Prince Albert II attended as a guest of honour, unveiling a bust of Malraux created by artist Cyril de la Patellière. The exhibition also featured a work titled “Poséidon,” a portrait of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace by Marcos Marin, and pieces named “suspensions” and “basse-cour” by Martin Caminiti. The event is a fixture of the local cultural calendar and includes a permanent trail of busts honoring historical figures who lived in or passed through Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.
