Langley Global Fest

The fourth annual Langley Global Fest is a celebration of cultural diversity organized by the Langley Community Services Society in partnership with the City of Langley and the Rotary Club. Held at Douglas Park, the festival offers a free day of family-friendly entertainment and community connection. The event typically begins with an Elder's Welcome and opening remarks from local officials before transitioning into a day-long showcase of global traditions.

Attendees can explore a marketplace featuring handcrafted jewelry, traditional clothing, and artisan goods from regions including Africa, Korea, and Cambodia. The festival stage hosts a lineup of approximately 10 performances, which have previously included tae kwon do, Bhangra dancing, Zumba, and Ukrainian folk dance. Eight food vendors provide authentic international cuisine, allowing guests to sample flavors from around the world.

In addition to entertainment, the event serves as a community hub with over 25 organizations providing information on local programs and resources. Family activities include a soccer skills demonstration and various kids' programs. The festival operates rain or shine, utilizing park amenities such as gazebos and misting tents to ensure guest comfort regardless of the weather.
