Lakes District Fall Fair

The 80th annual Lakes District Fall Fair is a milestone celebration of community and agriculture, offering a wide array of activities and entertainment. The event, which opened on September 12, 2026, includes annual attractions such as a Children’s Festival and Music Festival showcasing genres from classical to rock n’ roll, a highly anticipated exhibit hall, a community tug-of-war, and diverse rodeo competitions, notably a heavy horse pull.

Special anniversary events for its 80th year include a vintage scavenger hunt with cash prizes, complimentary birthday donuts and cupcakes, displays of antique farming equipment, and additional exhibition entries in heritage baking and sewing. Attendees can also enjoy a Saturday Family Dance, where dressing in 1940s-era clothing is encouraged. The exhibition hall features a special display titled “80 years of agriculture and community,” with historical context provided by the Lakes District Museum Society. Artisan demonstrations and workshops for patchwork, knitting, sketching, and suncatcher building are also offered.

Visitors can explore multiple attractions across the Eagle Creek Fairgrounds, including two stages, two arenas, a show ring, livestock barns, a petting zoo, a miniature train, bouncy castles, and bull riding. The fair also hosts a variety of vendors, community information booths, food trucks, and concession stands. Notable highlights include performances by the Canadian SuperDogs and the awarding of the Angus Gold and Hereford Mark of Excellence Shows.
