Victoria Tea Festival Revival

The Victoria Tea Festival Revival, organized by the International Tea Appreciation Society (ITAS), will be held on October 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Nootka Court, located at 633 Courtney St. in downtown Victoria. The event invites tea enthusiasts and the tea-curious to explore global tea culture through various activities.

Attendees can experience a tea fair offering tastings and demonstrations from tea merchants and educators. A symposium will feature talks on diverse topics, including the discovery and creation of tea in India, Indonesian tea production, traditional roasting knowledge, and the Japanese tea ceremony. The festival also hosts the fifth annual World Tea Championship, where participants can demonstrate their gongfu tea-making skills. Additionally, a gallery of rare and antique teaware, including teapots over 400 years old, will be on display.

Live music and food will complement the tea-focused activities. Admission to the nonprofit festival is by suggested donation, ranging from $15 to $25, with proceeds supporting ITAS. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own teacups, though a limited number will be available at the entrance for a donation.
