This annual exhibition, titled Tradition Transformed, celebrates the Canadian landscape through the eyes of contemporary artists. The 25th iteration of the juried exhibition will showcase 32 selected works from 31 artists, chosen from 213 submissions reviewed by this year’s jurors. The exhibition is inspired by Franklin Carmichael, a renowned Canadian landscape artist and Group of Seven member who was born in Orillia and frequently captured the distinctive character of Northern Ontario landscapes.

The exhibition is hosted by the Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH). An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m., during which remarks and awards will commence at 1:30 p.m. Awards to be announced include the Jurors' Prize, Kevin J. Batchelor Emerging Artist Award, Norma Duggan Award, and Philip Jackman Photography Prize. The exhibition will be open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., throughout its run.
