These sessions are specially designed for those new to creative writing in English. The non-fiction workshop will be led by author Antonia Banyard, the fiction workshop by Véronique Darwin, and the poetry workshop by Rayya Liebich. The initiative aims to invite participants into Nelson's vibrant writing community, fostering a safe and meaningful space for sharing unique stories. The Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL) collaborated with the festival to create these workshops. All activities will take place at the new 606 Arts Space, located within the KSA building at 606 Victoria Street in Nelson. Refreshments will be provided between workshops.
