Picton Fair

The fair's extensive exhibits feature garden and field produce, as well as livestock including cattle, horses, sheep, goats, poultry, and rabbits. Attendees can also explore displays of amateur hobbies, crafts, art, photography, fabric work, and woodworking. A dedicated building highlights the skills and support of young people, complementing the 4-H showings.

Key attractions and competitions include a traditional baby show, a major dog show, exciting arm wrestling competitions that run throughout the weekend, and a tractor pull. The fair also hosts live entertainment and a popular "huge and mouth-watering" baking competition for all ages. The schedule typically begins on Friday with a focus on 4-H and Junior Farmers displays, followed by a full program on Saturday featuring equestrian events, judging and auction of bake-off entries, antique tractors, and a beef cattle show. The midway, live entertainment, and food vendors remain active through Sunday.

Approaching its 200th anniversary, the Picton Fair is supported by the entire county and numerous visitors, standing out as one of Ontario's best fairs due to its vibrant community involvement rather than its size.
