SoundScape is an immersive performance series launched in 2026, focusing on location-based entertainment that blends technology with digital storytelling. The first event took place on August 27, repurposing the underbelly of Ottawa’s historic Plaza Bridge—a 114-year-old concrete expanse spanning the Rideau Canal—into an unconventional concert venue for a few hundred attendees.

The inaugural celebration featured a diverse lineup of performers, including the 2SLGBTQIA+ choral group Tone Cluster, as well as OK Naledi and Puppy Sierna. The event utilized the cave-like atmosphere of the bridge arches to create an environment where voices and music reverberated alongside colorful light installations.

Created by Immersive International, the festival aims to provide new cultural experiences by utilizing unassuming urban landmarks. The project was led by global creative director Jordan Foster and offered free admission via advance registration for its debut performance.
