The Artisans’ Festival, now in its 24th year, offers visitors an opportunity to explore and purchase unique hand-crafted pieces in the scenic 25-acre Kitty Coleman Woodland Gardens. Located north of Courtenay, just off the Old Island Highway, the festival is designed to provide artisans and musicians a picturesque setting to present their work. Attendees can wander along bark-mulch covered paths and through quiet glades, discovering various art objects including wooden bowls, glass vessels, garden sculptures, pottery, jewelry, clothing, and fine art.

The festival features a host of musicians, with performances from perennial favorites like Bruce & Judy Wing, David Somers, and Canuck Country, alongside special guests such as Ricky Paquette of The Sheepdogs and Luke Blue Guthrie. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 5th and 6th, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 7th. Admission is $10.
