Skye Skagfeld Art Exhibition

Located in the former St. Joseph’s School library, the Skye Gallery presents an exhibition of recent works by artist Skye Skagfeld. The event showcases a diverse range of acrylic paintings created over several months, focusing on themes of self-reflection and spiritual exploration. The show is designed to offer visitors an uplifting experience and a quiet space to view art away from digital screens.

The exhibition is held at 9735 Elm St. in Chemainus, with visiting hours from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission to the gallery is free, while individual artworks are available for purchase at prices ranging from $75 to $2,000. Visitors are directed to enter the building via the far right entrance, located past the gym toward the basketball court.

This specific exhibition was scheduled to coincide with the nearby Craft, Food and Beer Festival. Skagfeld, who has been exhibiting her work for five years, transitioned into professional painting following a master's degree research project on the economic sustainability of artists. Outside of these scheduled dates, the gallery is available for viewing by appointment.
