Organized by the Transformational Theatre Society, the 2026 Music and Meditation Festival offers a weekend of spiritual and cultural immersion in Surrey. The event begins on Saturday, August 15, with a ticketed kickoff concert at the Newton Cultural Centre starting at 7:30 p.m. This performance features Persian music, the poetry of Rumi, and traditional whirling dervishes, aiming to nourish the heart and mind.

On Sunday, August 16, the festival moves to the northwest corner of Bear Creek Park from noon to 5 p.m. for 'Music and Meditation in the Park.' This second day is free to the public and includes a diverse lineup of multicultural performances, such as sitar music and crystal bowl healing sessions. Visitors can participate in healing and whirling workshops, children's activities, and meditation sessions led by Sahaja Yoga BC.
