Flavour Trails Festival Weekend

The Flavour Trails Festival Weekend, held on August 15 and 16, 2026, marks its 20th anniversary. This food festival showcases local agriculture and culinary delights across the Saanich Peninsula, encompassing North Saanich, Central Saanich, and Saanich. The event encourages visitors to explore dozens of participating farms, markets, food businesses, gardens, and various local attractions.

Attendees can enjoy a wide array of activities, including browsing local produce and treats, listening to live music, and participating in the 20th Anniversary Flavour Hunt. This free, self-guided activity involves completing challenges such as meeting local farmers or food makers, tasting regional products, and discovering new locations, with participants eligible for a commemorative button and entry into a prize draw. The festival also introduces 'Secret Flavours' challenges for additional prize opportunities.

With over 35 unique experiences, the festival's offerings range from farm tours, workshops, and tastings to sheep-herding demonstrations and cultural food experiences. Notable highlights include guided walks exploring Indigenous foods and plants, along with cider tastings, orchard tours, flower u-picks, distillery tours, and various family activities. In 2026, Flavour Trails also launches a broader 'Season of Flavour,' extending related events through the summer, featuring additional farm tours, chef collaborations, and community gatherings.
