Mann Art Gallery Free Art Day

The Mann Art Gallery Free Art Day is an inclusive cultural event in Prince Albert designed to welcome both experienced artists and first-time gallery visitors. This edition of the event features extended hours, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., to provide the public with more opportunities to gather and create. The programming is specifically inspired by the current 'Gibraltar Point' exhibition by Michael Boutin and Tristan Durocher.

Participants can explore a variety of artistic disciplines through guided workshops and open creation stations. Activities include watercolor painting, collage, and drawing with pastels and charcoal at dedicated easel setups. For those interested in photography, the Northern Image Photographers will be on-site to provide a professional photo booth experience and still life stations where attendees can practice portraiture and composition.

In addition to the art programming, the event fosters a community atmosphere with a food pop-up featuring Lovey’s Bread. The day's schedule is coordinated to complement other local cultural activities, such as matinee performances at the nearby Rawlinson Centre. Artist Kiara Levesque will be present to assist participants, and the gallery also uses the day as an opportunity to connect with potential new volunteers.
