Fifth National Pasture Festival

The Fifth National Pasture Festival, also known as the National Highland Festival, is a major ethnographic event held at the Khan Yurdu ethnovillage in Azerbaijan's Goygol district. The festival is dedicated to the preservation of Azerbaijani nomadic traditions, including historic folk arts, national sports, and the seasonal 'yaylaq' (summer pasture) lifestyle. Organized by the Javad Khan History and Culture Foundation alongside government partners, it aims to connect modern audiences with the country's rural heritage.

Attendees can explore diverse cultural activities such as exhibitions of carpet-making, artisan workshops, and traditional ashiq music performances. The event highlights various national sports including archery, horseback riding, and zorhana demonstrations. Entertainment options include tightrope walkers, fire performers, and folklore shows. A central feature is the 'Yaylaq Table,' where guests can sample a wide array of authentic Azerbaijani regional cuisine and traditional dishes.
