Light Up Windsor returns in 2026 as one of the Hawkesbury region's largest festive celebrations. Taking place on Saturday, November 28, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the event transforms the heart of Windsor into a vibrant holiday hub. The center of the festivities is the Windsor Mall, where the community gathers for the traditional lighting of the giant Christmas tree.

The 2026 edition features a major expansion to improve accessibility and accommodate growing crowds. George Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between Fitzgerald Street and New Street to host a burgeoning Christmas market, offering more space for shoppers to browse local stalls. Additionally, the event extends into the forecourts of the Deerubbin Centre, which will host live reindeer for public meet-and-greets.

Entertainment is a core component of the festival, with performances scheduled for the Windsor RSL stage and new laneway activations. The Mall will serve as a family fun zone, featuring 'Reindeer passports,' free Christmas activities, and a popular snow zone. Local restaurants and shops along the main thoroughfare are encouraged to remain open throughout the evening to provide dining and extended shopping options for visitors.
