10 Nights in Port Festival

The 10 Nights in Port Festival, an evolution of the original Fremantle Festival, is a cherished winter arts festival returning to Walyalup/Fremantle from August 20 to 30, 2026. Organized by the City of Fremantle, the festival aims to create a city-wide trail of creative encounters, inviting audiences to gather and experience warmth, light, and connection under the theme of 'huddle'. This theme encourages moments of pause, reflection, and shared experience, whether around a fire, within an artwork, or simply enjoying the port city together.

The 2026 program explores how people connect through shared experiences of places, story, and creativity, offering an opportunity for audiences to be immersed in Fremantle’s creative pulse. The diverse lineup spans visual art, performance, storytelling, and large-scale installations. Key venues include the Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre, Victoria Hall, and various streets and spaces throughout the city.

Highlights of the festival program include 'Nullians', an exhibition of political cartoons by Australian Indigenous artist Kambarni; 'Train Kiln (Dragon Kiln)', a large-scale, live-fired ceramic installation by Stewart Scambler; and 'Feast & Fire', which combines a shared fire-cooked meal with live music and flame sculptures. Other performances include 'A Magical Guide to Fighting Fascism', a multilingual multimedia show, 'In The Block Universe', a surreal multimedia installation, and 'The Genesis Project', a contemporary dance work.
