Playgrounds is a vibrant three-day pop culture festival taking place from August 14 to 16 at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi. This community-driven event, presented by Sandstorm Comics – the UAE's first dedicated comic book studio – serves as a central hub for fans and collectors.

The festival focuses on various facets of pop culture, including comics, manga, trading card games, toys, cosplay, gaming, and animation. Attendees can explore a dynamic marketplace where independent sellers, artists, and collectors can browse, buy, sell, and exchange items. A dedicated artist alley provides a platform for independent creators and established brands to showcase their work and connect with visitors.

Key attractions at Playgrounds include competitive trading-card and video-game tournaments, alongside interactive activities and live entertainment.
