Armenian Cultural Days Stuttgart

The Armenian Cultural Days Stuttgart is recognized as one of the largest Armenian cultural initiatives in Germany, held annually since 2011. For its 2026 edition, the festival spans eleven days, offering a diverse program across various cultural venues in Stuttgart.

The festival's motto, “See, I am making all things new,” draws from the Book of Revelation 21:5, which is also the 2026 Annual Watchword for Christian congregations in Germany. The program aims to present Armenian culture as it lives today, rather than solely as a remembrance. This year also commemorates the 35th anniversary of Armenia's independence, celebrated on September 21, 1991, with a documentary film, "Our Road to Independence," screened on October 18.

Public activities include the opening exhibition "Images Across Borders" at BW-Bank on October 15, featuring paintings and miniatures by André “Darvish” Sevrugian. The literary program showcases authors such as Narine Abgarjan and Nuran David Calis, along with presentations of Armenian manuscripts and forgotten novels. Musical offerings range from the Dan Gharibian Trio to piano trios and a concert by the Yerevan indie rock band NEMRA. A one-woman play by Narine Grigoryan is scheduled for October 22. Interactive events include Youth Day and Family Day on October 17, workshops on Armenian cuisine, voice, and ornament, and a Divine Liturgy (Surb Patarag) on October 18 at the Lutherkirche. The festival concludes on October 25 with a concert by the Tübingen choir Camerata Vocalis.
