Around the World in Jewelry exhibition

The "Around the World in Jewelry exhibition" is scheduled to take place at M7, Qatar’s hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in fashion and design, located in Doha, from October 27 to December 26, 2026. Organized by Qatar Museums in collaboration with L'ECOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, this event promises to be the largest showcase of jewelry from Qatar Museums' collections to date.

The exhibition will feature more than 500 pieces of jewelry and artifacts, including ornaments, artworks, photographs, and sculptures. These items span diverse cultures, geographical regions, and historical eras, reflecting the richness of the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, and the future Lusail Museum, with some pieces being displayed publicly for the first time. The showcase is further enriched by a curated selection of heritage creations from Van Cleef & Arpels.

The display is structured around seven main themes, which trace the multi-faceted meanings of adornment across civilizations. These themes include The Sea and Ocean, Nature, The Cosmos, Body Ornaments, Status, Customs and Ceremonies, and Protection. The exhibition aims to offer a window into the universal human nature of decorative arts.

In addition to the extensive collection, the exhibition will be accompanied by a series of educational programs and children's workshops. A bilingual Arabic-English publication, produced by L'ECOLE in collaboration with Qatar Museums, will also be available to complement the research and narrative aspects of the display. The event is part of Qatar Creates for the Fall-Winter 2026-2027 season and is supported by Visit Qatar, stemming from the legacy of the Qatar-France 2020 Year of Culture.
