Frieze Abu Dhabi

The inaugural Frieze Abu Dhabi art fair is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 22, 2026, at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi. This event represents Frieze's debut in the West Asia, North Africa, and South Asia region and serves as a rebrand of Abu Dhabi Art, which had a 17-year history. Presented in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, it aims to be a catalyst for knowledge production, art market integration, and global discourse.

The fair will host 84 galleries from 63 cities and 36 countries, featuring three specially curated sections: Focus, Global Futures, and Frieze Masters Abu Dhabi. These sections are organized with an all-female curatorial line-up and will include a strong presence of works by women artists, such as Etel Adnan, Hamra Abbas, and Shaikha Al Mazrou. Notable international galleries like Gagosian, Pace Gallery, and Thaddaeus Ropac will participate alongside a significant number of regional galleries from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, India, and Turkey.

As the newest addition to Frieze's global portfolio, which includes fairs in major cities worldwide, Frieze Abu Dhabi is designed to foster meaningful dialogues on the global art stage. It connects local artists and galleries with Frieze's extensive international network, amplifying voices from the WANASA region within an international context and showcasing art spanning from antiquity to contemporary works.
